A driving force in Merridee’s work is her deep appreciation of the natural world. Throughout her life, she has been mindful of indigenous cultures, and the ability of their artisans to create meaningful objects of great beauty from nature’s abundance. This has led Merridee to pursue the time honored tradition of growing her own resources, which she incorporates into her contemporary artwork.
